Cheetham is an electoral ward in the Metropolitan Borough of Manchester. It elects three Councillors to Manchester Metropolitan Borough Council using the first past the post electoral method, electing one Councillor every year without election on the fourth.

Heavily urbanised following the Industrial Revolution, Cheetham is bisected by Cheetham Hill Road, which is lined with churches, mosques, synagogues and temples, as well as terraced houses dating from its history as a textile processing district. Markets along the road trade in wares and foodstuffs from all over the world.

It will deliver services that foster aspiration, independence and resilience, and that open up pathways into employment through education and skills. This will help to reduce the demand on expensive, reactive services.
