Saddleworth South has the second highest median household income (£33,265) in the borough, behind only Saddleworth North (£33,335). This is 50% higher than the Oldham average (£22,289). The employment rate (67%) is higher than the Oldham average (58%). A lower proportion of people are on Out of Work Benefits in Saddleworth South (4.8%) than in Oldham as a whole (11.0%).
